Effortlessly Request and Receive Payments via SMS
We hate taking payments over the phone as much as you do, so we decided to do something about it.
HaloPay is now available in the new Pharmacy Halo Hub. Register your interest today by clicking the button below and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
Frequently Asked Questions
To demonstrate how HaloPay works, here’s a few example scenarios:
- Got an order in Quda that the patient now wants delivered? Request payment through HaloPay, and once its paid, you can confidently delivery the item out without needing to take card details over the phone.
- Got a recurring/scheduled order for a patient? Request payment for the item when you create the special order each time to streamline the pick-up process.
- Got a patient that’s wanting to make a payment over the phone, but the phone cord isn’t long enough to reach your eftpos machine, or someone else is using it, or the battery’s flat, or you just hate taking card details over the phone because it’s really annoying when you mess up a single number and have to do the whole thing again and waste heaps of time? Just open up HaloPay, send a payment request, and leave the customer to it.
Once you receive notification that a payment has been successful, you can mark the payment off on the till similarly to how you would with a phone payment, or if someone had paid through an app (e.g., MedAdvisor).
With HaloPay, pricing comes in two parts:
- Subscription fee of $49.95 per month.
- 10% discount with annual billing.
- 25% discount if you use any other Pharmacy Halo apps that HaloPay integrates with.
- Per transaction fee of a 1.6% plus $0.30.
- This is automatically passed onto the customer.
- Original $100 transaction charge
- 1.6% * $100 = $1.60
- $0.30 fee
- $100 + $1.60 + $0.30 = $101.90
When you send a payment request, your patients and customers will receive a link an SMS that will take them to a secure payment gateway in the browser on their phone. They can then choose to pay via credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
It really is as simple as that.
One of the best parts about HaloPay is that after a transaction is processed, the funds land in your account the following day at the latest.
Depending on your preference, you can also opt for same-day funding, though this comes at an additional 0.1% surcharge and means that funds land in your account within hours following settlement each day.
HaloPay is powered by an integration with Till Payments, a provider that enables payments for tens of thousands of merchants across multiple industries, including automotive, hospitality, retail, grocery, and enterprise.
Till Payments see security as a top priority for their platform, proven by a certification that deems them as being in compliance of requirements set by the Australian Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
This accreditation guarantees that Till Payments, and thus in turn HaloPay, adheres to the most stringent security standards, delivering a protected and reliable environment for all transactions.
To register your interest… you can… click the big golden Register Interest button further up the page. Or if you’re lazy (understandable), you can click here. Or here. Or even here if you want! The choice is overwhelming!
To get set up as a merchant, we basically send you some simple forms to fill out (which we prefill as much as possible ourselves before they get to you, because, who likes forms?!), as well as get you to confirm the identities of anyone that owns 25% or more of the pharmacy (i.e., passport or driver’s license number plus a scan of the document).
We’ve also developed a cheatsheet/guide that you can follow as you complete the onboarding forms to make it as quick and easy as possible.
Once you’re approved as a merchant (which is estimate to take around 2-3 weeks), we’ll be able to get you connected and requesting payments in no time.
We hear this a lot, and we understand. We are just so incredibly passionate about making things easier for all of us working in pharmacy that we couldn’t help ourselves supercharging it even further. Sorry!
